Recently (in July 2020) John Herber Ltd / The Canvas Technology Centre undertook the job of replacing all of the Gymnasium Divider Curtains, 6 x 28.5m wide x 5.8m high and 3 x 19m wide x 5.8m high, at the Bay Arena in Mt Maunganui Tauranga, New Zealand.
All the fabric used in the manufacture of these new curtains were from local suppliers and are Flame Retardant to comply with the New Zealand Building Code.
We removed all of the old, ageing, torn and dilapidated divider curtains and replaced them with new top quality ones manufactured by us. We also replaced all of the worn and rusty 3mm wire rope pickup wires in each curtain, rusted over the years due to salt air being sucked into the venue through the ventilation system with the venue being near to the coast. We replaced these wires with new 4mm Stainless Steel wire rope to help prevent this from happening.
