NZ Fire-Shield was formed as one of the divisions of John Herber Ltd to meet the need and demand in New Zealand for a quality fire retardant product and associated services.

Inspecta-Shield™, Fire Retardant Product

Our team found a world-class fire retardant product in the USA – the only UL classified fire retardant available. Having met the US patent holder, completed intensive training and testing, John Herber Ltd’s staff in the new NZ Fire-Shield division were appointed as the sole blending, application and distribution agents for New Zealand and Australia.

On-Site or In-House Applications

Our fire retardant product can be applied on-site or in-house at our specially built facility (suitable for theatre drapes, scene cloths, large scale material treatments, etc.). Contact us for more information.

Our On-Site Cleaning and Re-Fire Proofing Service

• We provide a certificate of compliance to show what relevant standard items have been treated too
• Certificates of compliance are valid for 5 years
• We record all relevant information including items treated, location, square metres treated, amount of fire- retardant used and the date treated.

This means we can let you know when your certificate of compliance is going to expire.
